Our goal is to change one million incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs in the state of Indiana in 2008. You may think, "How much difference is that really going to make?" But with the average daily light bulb use of three hours, this one simple step can reduce Indiana's CO2 emissions by 150 million pounds per year or the equivalent of taking over 13,000 cars off the road. Please help ensure that polar bears have a future and take the pledge today!

Climate change will not be solved by one person, one state, or even one country. We ALL have to work together to help solve the problem of climate change. One of the easiest ways to do that is to encourage people in your office to participate. So we’ve made it easy to start your own Green Team.
Here’s how it works – sign up your business or organization to compete in the Green Team Challenge and set a goal for number of bulbs changed for your organization to achieve by 12/31/08 (in your organization’s location and at your members’ or employees’ homes) and see how you stack up against other organizations that are also doing their part to combat climate change.

We understand the key to helping solve the climate change problems we face is educating ourselves about the issues and being open to different points of view. We also understand climate change issues can be complex and controversial. So, we’ve put together a team of bloggers who will weigh in on some of the most pressing issues pertaining to climate change. To jump start the discussion, we have a climate scientist, an Arctic wildlife scientist, a specialist in climate change solutions, and a “green grandpa.” Other bloggers may be added in future weeks. There will be a new blog each week with the opportunity for you to share your point of view as well.
